Austen Everett, AEF's founder went to the University of Miami where she was a nationally ranked goalkeeper for the Hurricanes. It was at U of Miami where she was diagnosed with cancer, realized the impact her sports community brought her in her fight, and where she started the Austen Everett Foundation.
University of Miami Athletics recently commemorated her legacy by showcasing her jersey and story permanently in the Women's Soccer Team locker room.
